Making your detox program easy and tasty and interesting is a tough call for most. But once you have understood the basics and how to work with the 5 flavours it's possible to put meals together that will delight all the senses.
During the course you will learn:
- the art of being organised
- working with the five flavours
- cooking techniques
- tasty grain and legume dishes
- salads and dressings
- dairy: yoghurt and cheese making
- protein balancing

The detox cooking class was everything Kathryn said it would be and more. I enjoyed every minute of the day! It was exciting to learn how to make detox cooking tasty, easy and achievable for me and my family. At times it was all hands on - all helping to create the dishes, and at other times we just sat back and sipped cups of tea as we watched the dishes created in front of us! It was fascinating to learn about different spices, foods types and flavour combinations from around the world, and how to make it achievable in our own kitchens. Kathryn provided all the nutritional and health information necessary to understand why we all need to change the way we cook for the health of ourselves and our families. Rob and I travelled from Canberra to Maleny to attend this workshop and we can honestly say that it was worth the time, money and effort to attend. Stephen and yourself are warm and inviting people that made it very easy to share your space for the day. It was warming to meet fellow travellers on the journey back to health and wellbeing, meeting people from near and far arriving with their own stories and needs but sharing the commonality of believing that food can heal the body. I enjoyed the format because it included loads of practical demonstrations on most of the new recipes and plenty of opportunity to taste each creation along the way. The recipes themselves are practical and logical in that making the basic tomato sauce can now become the basis for meals from seven different cuisines with the addition of different herbs and spices, absolutely brilliant concept! Your knowledge of food and how it creates the bio-chemistry that I am living and breathing in is broad and deep and encourages me to continue my journey towards better health and wellbeing. Thanks for a really down to earth, hands on, practical, entertaining, warm and interesting day with a great variety of beautiful food prepared on the day for us all to share. I'm off and racing and have cooked up huge batches of base tomato sauce and stocks. I am looking forward to buying some of the ingredients you presented to us, to transform these healthy sauces and stocks into meals with flavours from all around the world. Your handout notes are excellent. It was wonderful to just be able to focus on your presentations and participating and not have to take notes - so thanks Kathryn for being you and providing so much knowledge through your books and courses to enable people like me to get better understanding of how to be more in control of our health.
